It doesn't matter what Taiwan does. China is becoming a huge power both economically and on the world stage. China does have nuclear capability too. So...no matter what Taiwan does, China can and will so pwn them. But however, why would China? China is just waiting for Taiwan to slowly crumble back in to the PRC.
Its just a little showoff to see who has the bigger balls. Give it about 20 years, and its not going to really matter. So much business is done between the two, that it would be unwise for anything to happen militarily.
haha...think so, but it isn't the military who wants to make this provoking behavoir, i deeply belief the people on taiwan also want pease... its those numbheads in the taiwanese government who can't understand the sillyness of their behavior.
North Korea wouldn't do anything to back China if they did go to War with Taiwan. They have their own problems and are very short on food etc. The states on the other hand will mobolise and try and sorround China, you get the idea. To be quite honest here. War won't happen, never. China want's to be developed first and preventing that by provoking a war is not the smartest thing I can think of. It will work against China as the states owe a lot of debts to China and then can have an excuse not to pay them back.
