U Torrent for Mac

Mac OS X only: If you've been waiting patiently for the popular BitTorrent application, uTorrent, to find its way to your Mac, your wait is finally over: uTorrent for the Mac is officially available. We've been waiting for the mac release for a while now, and leaks of the beta had already made their rounds on BitTorrent sites (how apropos), but the official release (Intel Macs only at the moment) of the most popular Torrent client is finally here. The download is still in beta, and the developers acknowledge that it "may contain serious bugs," but it still looks and feels great.

Asus EePc Tablet

ASUS had us so dazzled yesterday with the announcement of eepc t91 and and the s121 that we nearly didn't notice this guy -- the T91's bigger sidekick -- hiding in the "unannounced but still very much here" pile. There's precious little in the way of info, specs or anything else, but we know it's got a 10-inch display, and it's a very, very dapper tablet.

Sony "netbook" Vaio P

We just grabbed a first look at Sony's new VAIO P. At first glance, the screen is bright and ultrasharp -- certainly stretching the limits of our eyesight. We'd say the keys are a little bit light and shallow for our taste, but good as far as most "netbooks" go, and the "nipple," like all like pointers, will take getting used to and careful calibration, though it's definitely sensitive. It's certainly not hefty, but we'd say there's the standard amount of Sony build quality, and while high for a netbook, $900 doesn't "feel" too far off. We love lightweight, but this netbook almost feels like it lacks innards, the real deal seems almost like it's a mock-up device. Videos of all its best sides after the break.

that vaio... is made of win... yeah the specs aren't the greatest... but damn it's a netbook... and a classy one at that... instant on OS?!?! AND Sony XMB... i just wet my pants...

u get what u pay for... i mean it's true the Vaio series is and has always been a luxury item... but they're usually above average in terms of reliability(i'm sure others will disagree vehemently)... and i'm sure the Sager guys wouldn't appreciate this either, but to me it fits perfectly in my mind of what a netbook should be... 3g, easily mobile more so than other netbooks, instant on os, sony xmb, quality build, high pixel'd screen and plain looks sexy...

The PedoBear Netbook

It can be hard to tell the legions of identical netbooks apart, but this Bandai RilakKuma will never have that problem, because it's the cutest Atom-based piece of hardware we've ever seen. RilakKuma, meaning "Relax Bear," is the name of the character whose eyes and nozzle are seen on the back of the netbook. This model is packing a 1.6GHz Atom, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD and an 8.9-inch screen, so it's totally anonymous except for that adorable case, which apparently costs a hefty amount. The limited-edition netbook (only 500 were made) costs over $850 USD, but nobody ever said cuteness came cheap
