True, and not ture... I guess one of the things that determines safeness of an area depends on your familiarity and comfort level at the place. ONTO ANOTHER THING.... After having a quick scan through all the posts in this thread here are the aussies in PA xD (In no particular order - if u happen to find a pattern, its all a coincidence =p) heaven (kinda weird mentioning myself lol.. but i guess it helps for others) honkiebonkie reno laziboi ~*Dawn*~ Kachi_no_Kemuri Yowie CKChan dmc22 MissAngieCheekS [temporary] flaming dragonash_se7en theMooffin rNb99 dragong87 .//affect-ionn skid kaka* Knoctur_nal [supposedly was aussie for a day - "lets all be aussie for a day!..."] lol gengwank
because melbourne is dull...and canberra is dead....thats why =) Sydney is the place to be in Aussie hehehe
gengwank and myself have been added to the list. xD & as for Canberra... lol.. the last time I went there, it seemed like some place in the middle of nowhere.
hehe...yeah my relatives went to canberra last anzac day...but i refused to join them cuz i heard it was too boring so...not planning on going there...the only places i wanna visit are cairns, brisbane and maybe alice springs...and if i have got "spare change" i might wanna head to new zealand too hehe
Cairnes is pretty nice. The weather is good (but can be bad too - during wet seasons, and whenever there are cyclones around - but the rainforests are cool, and some places have waterfalls. Oh yeh, you can go on reef tours as well hehe). New Zealand is alright too, its very natural.. and hrmms.. can be abit boring if you don't like natural sceneries like hills and ice mountains. Also, New Zealand has Kiwi's (the bird, not the citizens lol) so yeh, its something that you don't get to see in other countries. The main cities are pretty small though compared to sydney. (btw, I've lived at both the mentioned locations heh so im not making anything up =p)
Anyone been to Tasmania? It is only good if you go there to have a relaxing holiday. I remember one of the suburb in Tasmania (forgot which one) is really spooky ><, you can not see anyone in that suburb, even in the middle of the day...when me and my family arrived there, I was like...whoa is there an evacuation of some kind?
LOL.. when u mentioned the spooky suburb and said that you could not see anyone (even during the day), the 1st thing that came to my mind was like ghost or some kind of spooky thing where once you enter, its a new world where no one exists.... but yeh, i read the rest of what you wrote and it seems my imagination got abit ahead of me lol.
so...which of the city's/country's did u like most? btw...gunbound is just sooo...2004 i used to play that game at that time...but i sorta...sucked at it...hehe
Thanks heaven, i've wanted to do this but i was too lazy! Re: "safeness" well, how safe we feel about a certain place, like u said, depends on personal characteristics and personal experiences, eg. what we have heard about the place, its reputation, what happened the last time we were there, its presentation, etc.......BUT how safe the place actually is a different matter and may NOT correspond to our feelings or its reputation. In some cases the safe feeling we may have about a place may put us into more danger than if we had been more cautious, and take the right precaustions. It could work the other around, though, but i am not sure. But my point is, often how we percieve a place to be dangerous is a social construct and personal bias that is not based on any facts, usually.
lol yeh.. gunbounds old =P but since im ranked.. it motivates me to log in and play every once in a while =X. (i used it for my ava coz i saw kdotc have something similar lol) About which city i thnk is best... For me, I'd have to say Sydney. But thats probably coz I don't really enjoy country side/non-major-city type places (i find them boring). I like buildings and development and urbanisation.....hmmm, but now come to think of it, I wouldnt mind going for a holiday away from the city, just to play in the snow or go to volcanic mountains (at NZ) or visit cairnes/goldcoast for a few days - but i definately wouldnt want to live at those places.
i like snow too...but snow in holland kinda sux...it melts away in a few hours.... =(....unlike in canada or austria...
