i think you are saying it's not amazing because u didn't see part 2 & 3! Only seeing the first part is nothing! The last part where they light the torch is amazing. The athlete is running aorund the stadium in the sky with the torch in his hand. Out of all the 29 Olympic this is the best one so far. Technology has improved China so much even USA or Canada can't catch up. There is no one other countries can do the same thing as China because China has 1.3 billion ppl 4 thimes as much as USA. There was more than thousands of performers u really think other countries can do as good as China when they don't have that much ppl. China invented firepowder so their fireworks is definitely better than any countries. China has about 600 athlete in the Olympics the largest group even larger than USA which is the second largest with 500 athlete.
did u not c all the co-ordination of all those ppl?? they practiced for yrs n yrs for that moment... n anyone that understands some chinese history would really appreciate the performance... it brought out our 4 great inventions... paper... printing... compass and gunpowder... it was amazing!!
it was Spectacular opening for Olympics - love the start of drumming! The girls dancing line, when the athletes were coming in were dancing more then 2 hours. Clap your hands 2 time and two thumbs-up -Repeat- in weather condition 30°C - poor poor pretty girls... hope they all get-pretty-pay! Vancouver Winter Olympics not going be shame? ....we're.. let not talk about London Olympics 2012 - they already running out of money... the opening ceremony going be very disappointed...
Made me proud to be chinese I think they did a fantastic job and memorable one at that It really does show off China's IT capabilities too...
i finished download the TVBnow and kidoors. And i noticed the TVBnow version in the very end of the show they cut off Karen mok and Jackie Chan singing in the end. Just to let you guys know I am also wondering where is the part where Hacken in the video say Joey, Andy , and other China singers singing after the opening cermony?
oo its 3GB because its not really HD its HD-avi in divx. But it is clearer than kidoors alot. I hope the games will be upload
uh... i watched it live on tv at 5am vancouver time wasted my time... uhh some dude on track wires big whoops and if u go youtube search up human pixel u'll see or just what they had in turin they had the moving and changing image. so iuno what u ppl were watching

I totally agree with u Babs. even though there were some bad press about china (human rights, military presence, etc), it was nice to see that China could put on a great show...i especially liked the movable printing blocks, especially when it looked like ripples of water....
I thought the opening ceremony was insanely cool! I mean, the coordination is just too incredible! That Tai Chi circle, it's so round, there's freakin' 2008 people there doing that! And that water ripple blocks thing, I was arguing with my Mom that it was all machinery, then all thsoe people popped up just totally blew me away. HOW!? Does such MASSIVE coordination exists!? It did! I'm so proud of China for pulling this off. ^_^ haha Beautiful opening. ^_^
i searched it up at youtube but i did not see anything like what i saw in the opening! Flashing lights changing color of the person i don't see anything of that in youtube! Original stuff China is performing! And if u watched the TVB version not the vancouver or American version u will noticed Dodo said these ppl these performer trained for 13 months. Respect the ppl and respect ur country as a chinese human being. And if u think vancouver can do better u can think that way but i can say there is no way they will be able to because China has more money and more people. I'm from USA and i can say USA can't do it too because this country is in debt from the war. And last everyone is watching Olympics not just some unknown video on Youtube. It's history and a celebration. And if u're chinese just be proud and show support not just complain cause that is the country why u are existing on this planet now.
