I see no problem with a new sub-section, as users can choose to create a new thread on a specific topic instead.
The thing is that the majority of people that come to PA like to watch TVB. You can create thread in the non-asian entertainment forum for all those other shows. Which we used to do pretty often too. Although a whole separate forum for Anime/Manga discussion and not downloads could work since I'm pretty sure a lot of people on PA watch/read anime/manga. Back to the travel forum suggestion. Yes we did get a few threads over the past weeks and months, but I don't think it'll be too active. That's why I suggested just a thread for tourism instead. Even if OP/Mods don't manage the opening post, people can always just reply to the thread and ask for information again. I've seen a couple of these and they work pretty well without constant moderation. But up to the admins I guess.
I find that is going to be more confusing and will cause a lot more work for the mods to keep it updated than have a new section. The new forum section can create all those sub-cats of places when creating it, then all it needed to be done is for Knoc and admins to just look at the places. All the new sub-cats will relief the whole searching/finding one huge forum thread, people won't want to read it and it will defeat the whole objective of creating this whole new section in the first place IMO. If Religion & Philosopy can get a section itself, I don't see why Holiday & Tourism can't when there would probably be more people looking at this section than Religion....
I like this idea of a Vacation/Tourism thread. We'll need to discuss if this will be thrown out and how. Right on for the ideas/formatting being discussed.
*tick* Not just this specific new section that I like to have up but for others too so that people will know which is thread titles and which are sub-cats. Maybe for each different section, rather than have a picture for each, they should be colour coded maybe? So members who are exposed to it will gradually realised which section that they are on rather than looking at history pathways Also I find the sticky threads are confusing too. Maybe coz I don't pay attention or not know what it is for, but genuienly don't see a point in it as such :(

No, the way turntable.fm works is that once you sign in, you can join a room. A room can have up to 5 DJs, and anyone can DJ. You can search from a list of songs, or upload your own songs. At each DJ's turn, they play the song they want. Or you can join, and just be a listener. I don't want to be a DJ, I don't mind being one. I just thought it would be interesting to have everyone play what they want to play.
