something i dun understand is.... how comes profiles are protected....and blogs aren't..?...just seems sorta odd....-confused
Ok... I have a suggestion about the news section.. so members who posts around the news section will notice this. There are threads posted with the same news.. eg.. recent [bosco naked in house] posted by me and paradiso. So instead of mods having to always look out on the news section to see if news are being posted twice.. how about is possible.. admin will have to approve? Meaning that when memebers makes a new thread in the news entertainment section it will only appear when mods have checked and can approve. So this will mean that if a members was to post same news.. the mods can abandon that thread? What do you guys think?
...... sounds like more work for admins.... not going to happen, it should be on the news crew to search the forum before posting in the case of the bosco one... the time frame between the two postings was like 12 hours......
+1 It's solely the person making the [duplicate] thread that should be liable for the concern. It's understandable when the time frame is about 2 minutes or so since that would provide time to copy+paste the news but a leaping time frame of 12 hours is not understandable.
lol, yehh.. news crew.. but if you check it out... it's like a day later.. or 22hours later.. lol. not just bosco.. but also gillian chung and raymond lam etc.. plus moslly admins are doing the duplicate thread.. i guess he/she cant be bothered to check if there is a thread with same news.
I don't understand... ? I'm just saying that the news section is messy. Too many duplicate. And I'm only saying it's mostly mod.. because it is mostly the 'reds' are posting in the chinese news section. Well if not implement what I suggested at the top then mods will still have to check on the new section = more work for the admin.
It's only really that the Chinese section is having duplicates. Maybe PM Paradisco & Harrison about it? Cause they're the most active in that section
I pm-ed b-lee about it. Since I know I will get a reply from him [as I have previously] But it's quite annoying for me and for the mod if I am going to do this all the time.
Actaully it's in English movies section too. Too many with the same title with different quality, but I think b-lee is working on that. Since he's finished with the TVB series and Chinese movies section.
This forum needs a Holiday/Tourism section only reason is that I have noticed a lot of people just posting into the lounge section to ask fot tourism advice for certain places. So to avoid repetativeness of the same topics coming up, people can go through that section instead. Not only is this section is for tourism advice and Q&A, it can allowing members to share/discuss experiences to holidays or places that people had been to and posting pics up too. Another reason that I want it up is because personally I like seeing people's adcices on.certain.places and their experiences to determine whether I will be interested to travel there. And I am sure other members may want to too
^ that could be an interesting idea.... if he held a master sorted list that linked to each location to a thread within the section that would be pretty cool. So members can create a thread for each location and possibly save the first three post spots for the original thread starter to edit any and all information.
^ as in subsections like Europe, Asia, N America etc.. And then within that even more sub-category? I think that would make things very tidy too. Of course for each continents you could have a generalised discussion forum if it was mainly about the whole place.
I think instead of a whole new forum, a single thread will do. It will have be maintained by the mods and thread creator. They'll add new stuff to the OP post as more and more people add new information on various vacations spots. Example: Canada Toronto Attractions: CN tower, etc Restaurants: .... Hotels/Accommodations: ..... Special events: .... PA members testimonies: UK London ..... I just threw that up pretty quickly so of course we'd expect to be a little more neatly organized. The reason I suggest opening a single a thread for this is mainly because we have a lot of forums on PA already. Some of which are not even that active at all. A stickied thread in the lounge would be sufficient I think.
we need a manga/anime/us drama/ uk/drama/uk/us variety show drama discussion section ....... like the tvb one ..... cause sometimes i do wanna just talk about what peoaple think about certain tv shows etc 1
but will that sticky thread be updated though? that's the question... for example on here: the tvb show list which is stickied isn't upto date.. Yes, I agree.. and also in the download english section, add a sub-topic with TV shows.
