hyped for UFC 129, cause one of my favorite fighter is debuting.....Jose Aldo. I hope Jake Shields wins the title (just want to see GSP lose), but the match itself might be boring.
Jose Aldo is sick. but you honestly think jake shields has a chance? I really don't think they will even hit the ground once.
well uh... i think shields has a small chance (the jiu jitsu game), but having seen how GSP plays strategically in every fight, i think he will avoid going to the ground and beat him in the stand up game (jab jab jab @ koscheck anyone?).
I thought the last Stikeforce PPV was great. Seeing Dana White ring side and the UFC banner on the mat just solidifies that the future of the two organisations coming together finally. In saying that it might be a couple of years away before we start seeing fighters from both organisations finally fight.
I think Jake Shields might surprise us, but honestly it's mma ...we could go on about each fighters credentials and have a long debate. We will find out, plus i do have money riding on the main event and I hope Jake takes the title but after watching UFC prime time GSP training is way more impressive then Shields.
to be honest, it's a gut feeling that I have and learn to trust and has help me win quite a few bets. upsets like Fedor loses Werdum, Griffin over Shogun, Machida over Franklin, Shield over Henderson.. are some bets that i have won money on. I have been wrong sometimes, but I win more then I lose.
news is out that Jon Jones won't be defending his title against Evans as he has injured his hand. Evans will fight another rising satr in the UFC Phil Davis instead.
Well I lost my bet on the main event, but overall UFC 129 was an OK event. As expected Aldo and Hominick stole the show, and I laughed so hard when Machida did the crane kick. I remember people laughing at Daniel-san crane kicking johnny Lawrence s face In the Karate kid, people said that it was stupid and it could never happen, but it worked tonight. The Brazilians team Blackhouse should thank Steven Seagal for teaching them these kinds of kicks.
Carwin will be fighting Dos Santos this weekend. Carwin has lost a lot of size to increase his cardio fitness. In doing that I think he has lost his knock out power. I am going for Dos Santos to win.
the first UFC fight on FOX was a joke. 45 minutes of previews and 94 secs of fighting. They showed none of the prelims, just the main card Dos Santos vs Velasquez. As Dana you never when there is going to be a good fight and this one was terrible.
