The beginning was as boring as hell and Kate's character annoyed me to no end. (But that's not her fault .. just the storyline. Then again, I don't think she's that beautiful to begin wtih.) Bosco wasn't that bad in this series. I love how he looks when he's all serious. >D It's so cute. The woman who played Bosco's mother is good. Shirley ... not too much of a fan of her in this series. She's mute and all but her hand signals are pretty much the same scene after scene. I like her better in The Brink of Law. She could actually make feel something for her in The Brink of Law whereas in The Price of Greed, I feel nothing for her. Sammual. Eh, not too much comment on him. All in all, I'd have to say that ... watching the last two episodes is the only thing you need to watch. Lol =) And woot for TVB, another questionful ending.
This series was a bit boring untill the end. Like i skip and fast foward most of the seires untill the part when they show the whole cheater gang was at a room where they were discusing things and the father listen to the whole plot. Then the father had like a stroke i think and couldn't talk. then i started watching it. It was amazing how the chinese character is based on four strokes cuz the doctor was asking him which stroke and all he need to do was nod. A whole speach was created. That was amazing. the end was kinda sketchy because it didn't play the whole recording. all it did was that play a little of a weather report, then the next thing u know it, all the guys in the gang started to die one by one.Does any one agree that u were lost at that point?? and yes if u havn't watch it yet, there was a recording, but they should have repeated it at the end
the whole series was really good. loved how crazy it was towards the end when the entire gang showed up in town. things got really crazy after that. the ending was sorta bad though... but POG is def one of the best series i've seen from tvb in a while. some of the parts really got you sitting at the edge of your seat and the acting was really good, esp kingdom yuen's.
havent finished watching the whole thing yet.. just have three more eps to go, but the first part was pretty boring..its only getting good now towards the end
finally finished this series.. not bad, alot of tension in the last 3 eps especially when kate pretends she still unconscious and they keep testing her and when shirley hides nder the bed while sammul kills the doctor.. the ending was quite predictable though.. pity kate couldn't find her son
i don't know why isn't play it in hong-kong???bosco is so good actor and shirley with their hands..so good. i very dislike the end..from now..i don't have like it anyone ending..i like the ending of goong(korean) so good..
Only just finish watching ep 12 and most of the show annoys me, except for Bosco, His chaaracter and acting is very good. I normally like Shirley but this whole mute thing is starting to get unbearable to watch. Kate's character and acting are both crap, omg the way she is continually fooled by Sammul is making me have to use the fast forward button. Though saying that I will watch to the end.
Good to know I'm not alone in thinking Kate (or maybe it's the role, I can't decide yet) is annoying. I only watched five episodes so far and she's driving me crazy. Normally I'm all for people finding their lost love ones, but for her, I just wanted her to give it up and get a life. Never mind how she goes away to Tianjin to find Fung without her parents approval... and then keep telegramming home for money. If you don't have money, STOP ADVERTISING IN THE DAMN PAPER!!! It's China in the 1920-30s. You can't live on $500 a month?! I don't even live on $500 a month now. Sorry... *ends rant*
The plot = greeds for Money$$ , just watch ep 18-20 ending btw, cannot stand Lam Ping ( the hooked eyes) and Bosco with the big wide mouth ... and mute childish girl., Shirley.. just remember she was in " Always Ready" , very childish too..
well........i dont' really get the ending.............sigh....another happy ending series...like they bad guys just all died at the end without a reason......
The actress who played Bosco mom made the movie watchable for me... if it wasn't for her... I'd probably stop watching this serie.
