GeneraznXz Just use this app? Isn't it almost the same/similar? This app allows you to pick from episodes to watch TVB dramas, live stream, play pre-recorded TVB programs by time (only the last 3 days). Though this app doesn't have a lot of the older dramas, it has the most recent ones from my experience.
runtohell121 Hello again. The app you listed above doesn't show the latest TVB Drama. Can you please explain how to navigate to them? When I click that app, this is what I see I choose the orange box and I see the previous "new" shows but not the current.
GeneraznXz It might take 1 day for them to update the newer episodes of the current dramas. Orange box do show most of the newest dramas for me, at least the TVB ones, but the episodes are usually 1 day behind. The Green box is for variety shows. The Blue box is for live stream TVB channels Pink box is for movies in cantonese mostly. Light purple box is for recorded TVB channels, allowing you to pick from which time/show you want to watch. It has the time slots for the 3 current dramas airing, but with ads in it since it just records the whole entire hour of the drama.
runtohell121 Thank you for explaining everything. Now I see the new shows. So I have to use that app to watch shows in HD. If I use the other app I listed earlier that I was missing, the shows will not be in HD right? Thank you H! Jeff for providing information and answering my questions!!
GeneraznXz it is the main app for TVB dramas. I don't think the app you use in the old TVpad exist in TVpad 4. I just went through the App Store and cannot find it. HKTV app is self explanatory, for HKTV dramas and variety shows.
runtohell121 Okay Thanks. At least now I know you don't have that app in the app store too. I been watching youtube videos and people have them in their app store, My friend's TVPad4 have that app installed as well so I started questioning how come I don't have it. I thought mine was faulty. I really appreciate you confirming that. I was searching the last 4-5 hours since I received it in the mail to where I can find that app elsewhere for the TVPad 4.
There is an N+ app, just not in the tvpad store, if you google it, you'll find the app install (http://www.51tvpad.com/en/406.html) also, the other apps for tvpad can be downloaded from the N+ app store online (http://www.appnnn.com/index.html)
What I'm reading is that all the video apps you need for TVPad can be found in the N+ store, and the N+ store could be found in the TVPad store (at least in older versions?) The problem was getting TVPad to read the USB, so installing the apk from USB is the problem. There's probably a way, but too bad they only have an active Chinese forum for support.
the usb install method needs the .pkg file along with an install utility to be present in the root folder of the usb stick. Jeff runtohell121 GeneraznXz let me know if you need/want the files.. might be an old version of the N+ store but it works and the install utility works. been usign for ages on my tvpad2 ... always install from usb
Hello all, I purchased a TVPad4 a couple months ago. Everything worked fine up until yesterday. A message appears saying "abnormal network," so I restored the unit. Now, I lost all the apps and I don't know how to get them back. I tried to search for any apps, but couldn't find anything. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You E
You can try if this works: http://streamingtvasia.com/2014/10/23/install-tvpad-channel-apps/ Or if you bought it in person (not online), best bet is to take it back and ask if they can reinstall the apps for you
abnormal network.. had that problem also. I had ethernet cable connected on mine and unplugged it, then connected via Wi-Fi worked for me.... And then I reconnected the ethernet cable the next day and everything seems to be normal.
from the tvpad OZ facebook page - a user has suggested the below with some vary degrees of success: Go to network/wifi settings, put it on manual, and put in DNS 110.34.169.179. After you connected to the server, please update your TVpad. Go to setting >Update > check for update. The latest version is V5.060. Please restart you tvpad after the update and you can change the DNS back to the original number. There will be no issue watching the TVpad4. Some user told me there is no update so you may need to wait for the update.
I guess I am not the only one experiencing this issue. At first I really thought it was my network but now I guess it is the server. I hope it comes up soon. I am happy this thread is here and people discussing their issue.
Thank you Jeff, runtohell121, and H! for responding. I think I screwed up by restoring the unit. It is completely empty and I don't know how to get the damn thing to read the Micro SD or USB drive. I tried changing the DNS and updating, but it still says "Network Abnormal." When I conduct the Network Test, I get all checks except for the Server part, and it says Error Code:-1. My current version is V5.054, Andriod Version: 4.4.2, Model: M418_D1XXXX. It is pretty weird how the website is down too. I purchased my unit from ebay, and the person that sold it to me wanted to get rid of it because it didn't have any Korean channels. Thanks, E
I don't think your screw up. I think the server is just down on their end. Have nothing to do with our network. If it is only you then maybe yes it is possible but I am quite sure this is happening to many many others too. This is happening to my friend that live around the area as well. We get our down times sometimes but usually only last one day. If you actually try to go to mtvpad.com it redirects you to a site noticeoforder.com I think they are being investigated and have been suspended. That is just my assumption. If there are other ways to get this to work, that would be awesome. It annoying hearing parents complain hahaha
I just found this, maybe this would answer our question? http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/korean-networks-win-65-million-821885
