It's also funny how they keep using references in these TVB drama, they used Moonlight Resonance (or was it Heart of Greed, probably HoG). "Chok chok chok chok chok..." that bit was funny.

Kenneth's role is really annoying in this series. I will give the series as a whole a bit more time before judging it.

This bit was funny because Kenneth sure have the balls to do that on front of a camera (yes, that's part of being an actor, but he sure isn't afraid that people will laugh at him thinking "mo liew")

^ Maybe it was part of the script so the scriptwriter has to be called mo liew before him. Unless he suggested that part which we dont know

From the new article published, it appears he had a say in this. Regardless, he done a good job to bring a light-hearted humour into this series =)

It does. 3 Kingdom is suppose to be very serious but with the role of Kenneth, it brings a humour side to it which i like

I like the drama as it has a humour to it but I do agree to criticisms that Kenneth Ma expressions are way over exaggerated even for a comedy. Just kinda make him look like a spastic or something and childish. Communicating between the time travel by a smartphone messaging is good idea but can a smartphone battery power really last that long even in standby? mine certainly doesn't. Effects are certainly not outstanding especially the gaming part looks just so lame.
Still good to be catching up with it.

I love how people can focus on the minutia of battery life of a phone, when there's no cell towers back then, no time travel, no rhyme, nor reason; TVB says so, is why. So ergo, just go with the flow, LOL... But, I agree with your assessment that Ma is hamming it, way over the top, even for this borderline TVB psychotic script. Yes, he does look spastic and childish, but more importantly, he looks like a poser wannabe. Can you imagine a real 40 something guy walking into a crowd of 18 year olds and acting that way? Is he going to be accepted? Heck, he'll be laughed out of town. Even if he knows the words and the moves, there's no denying that he's wearing 40 years of baggage. In essence, that's already too much for suspension of disbelief.
