well i do think his apology was sincere. what he did was wrong and i do think he's learnt his lesson. the reason why he apologised publicaly is because when u become such a known character u gather a lot of fans and a lot of children who admire him. therefore, if he wasn't to apologise, people would think that he thought he was in the right and that could bring about bad influences upon admirers and children in what they do in life. also, the reason why terry was taken off as england captain wasn't because of the press. i think it was mainly down to the fact of what he did. he slept with a friend's gf. that is pretty bad and as a team mate u would lose respect for him and therefore u may question his tactics or strategy. this would therefore make him an ineffective captain. also, they did not know whether wayne bridge at that time would be playing for england. i believe the onus was that capello would have picked him to be in the england squad and if terry were to remain captain there would be even more tension and disunity which is something to be avoided if u want to win a competition.
i dunt think this is anyones business, its his personal life. Ppl should just mind their own business, and not care about ppl's personal life
