sighs.. gotta say it really depends on the person.. some kids these days dont even know what love is and start dating just bcuz of what they saw on TV... even if u do fall in love or start dating at an early age.. please make sure ur partner's thoughts about the relationship is the same as urs. Well anyways.. puppy love is a fun thing haha!

i'd doubt if you "fall in love" when you're 16 that you even know what love is. besides, it's only society that pushes having a boyfriend/girlfriend when you're 12. like what babyrain said, i doubt kids in their teen years can clearly identify what they're feeling even if they are mature. most of these feelings are infatuation. love doesn't just up and runs away when everything gets bad or hardships come along.

the likelihood of a rlship that starts at the age of 16 and actually succeeding to the very end is almost 0%. It's possible, but very rare

I think its better to date when your older. If you are young dating can be a problem as it interferes with your education.

Well, I share the same opinion with some of you. I think dating should be left to after high school, where they are more mature and not so easily cheated. I'll drill it into their heads to get the point across...it's important to pay attention to your studies!!

i think that there is no age limit although it would be wiser to date when your slightly older like... 15+ lol

I say there is a too young. I don't think it's even considered dating if you're too young, it's just a title. I think when I have kids, I'll set an age too.

one of my friends has been going out with her current boyfriend for 4 years and their relationship started when they were just 13 years old.. another of my friends have been going out for 2 years and they started when they were 15.. and i know they've been through quite a lot of hardships so it doesn't necessarily mean that young love is not going last and etc.. but of course those are just a few cases.. i suppose most of young relationships these days in teenagers do fizzle out after a while though ..

i'm not sure there is a too young.. if you teach your children that being curious about other ppl's feelings and wanting to explore their own feelings is bad, they you are denying them the chance to grow up.. that will backfire later on in their lives.. but is also important to teach kids how to prioritize their lives.. so a good balance is needed

only thing i think is too young is sex, coz many kids don't understand the positive/negative consequences of it fully

i think u shuld date when u feel u're ready...and dat means 16+.....or else u will b too immature to sort things out....

  13. im old fashioned, you go find yourself a wife/husband when you become a man/woman (no crossovers!!), when your able to support her etc.

  14. I'm actually at a low point in my life right now... I'm the eldest brother of three and I have twin younger brothers. I started dating at age 16 and held on to the relationship for 4 1/2 yrs. I've always tried to set a good example for my siblings by maintaining good grades, but I think my relationship kind of made an influence on them. They're pretty mischievous at age 15, and I can't control them anymore, neither can my parents. I have caught them sending obscene messages to their girl friends and it troubles me even more if they're having sex at this age. My college gpa has been suffering partly due to my concerns for my siblings, and the rocky relationship I have been experiencing till now.

If you'd ask me, dating at a young age is not recommended. Developing friends and expanding your network of support would be the best option. Setting goals for your future should be the priority. I think most people would find most of their meaningful relationships during college years.

    ^Does that mean you don't hesitate to date even a 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15 year old kid?

age has probably a gap difference, as u get older, the gap widens a bit. =P
back in high school, i would aim for someone around the same age, or 1 yr difference.
after graduation, range can be up to 3-4 yrs younger, or 1-2 yrs older
wen ur like 25, u can probably date girls that are 19 ish... but not really preferable.

    i noe a grl that has a 31 yr old bf, and she's 19
i guess, as long as ur over 18, anyone that is 18+ is okay maybe.
a 50 yr old dating an 18 yr old?? lol... i dunno bout that, but hey, whatever they want, it's none of my business.
