Its a good thread. Have tried to do simple origami before, but it even then, it was way too complicated the instructions and never even finished one.
I have also done some origami, but I know that I never can come to the level of creating a dragon or phoenix -cry2
I have done that, but they are not special enough, so I googled around on internet to find some more special ones. I found a flower
It's a rose, but can't find the instructions any more. But to create one is some how very complicated. More then 50 stages
i hate the one on the books it takes forever and hundreds of paper to actually get one right they never really just tell you how to do it ....what will make money ... a video of oragami thats what ppl will buy
I love the Raijin model... and the 3rd dragon he did in the first clip... I was assuming he cut the paper so that he could make the scales for the dragon, but he didn't... absolute class!
I agree! Man, just looking at the clip where he was folding the scales one by one.... Omg! O_O;; Definately a fav! Speaking of which, if he did cut it or used more than one piece of paper, then would it still be considered 'origami'?
Origami only uses a small number of different folds, but they can be combined in a variety of ways to make intricate designs. In general, these designs begin with a square sheet of paper, whose sides may be different colors, and usually proceed without cutting or fastening the paper. Contrary to most popular belief, traditional Japanese origami, which has been practiced since the Edo era (1603-1867), has often been less strict about these conventions, sometimes cutting the paper during the creation of the design (Kirigami 切り紙) or starting with a rectangular, circular, triangular or other non-square
Hehe.... I think I'll stick with the basics like cranes, stalks, fishes, flowers, or things of the like.... *Sigh* If only there were simpler dragon designs... =(
Wooooaaah!!!! Subarashi!!!!!! Suggei!!!!! That video of the dragon was amazing. Some really talented people out there.
wow. very intricate looking. i bet would fall apart with one flick eh? the reaper reminded me of a chess piece with the swords in harry potter.
