i understand trannies, but y tomboys? i love tomboys. my girl is a tomboy. Although she doesnt always dresses like guys (tomboys doesnt have to wear guy's clothes in order to be a tomboy), but she like the things i like; basketballing, baseballing, footballing, cars, girls, movies (war, drama, horror, etc), games, music (rock, hard rock, techno, industrial rock, etc), etc, etc (couldnt think of anymore rite now). Well everyone have their own taste. I have strong preference for girls that have femininity. But reading your post I dont think your gf is a tomboy. For me a tomboy will act and behave like a man. She thinks she is a man.
