you have a fair point in some aspects but unfortunately thats how the music industry rolls. you have to sell yourself if you want to appeal to the majority. i dont like westernized music and I dont remember the last time i heard any music from England/USA. I cant really comment on Hyori Lee as I dont really listen to her music that much or follow her. But she has that sexy aura that she gives out when she sings/release music which would suit the US audience I think. BoA can also achieve that and plus she can dance. like in Eien, shes great at dancing in that which would appeal to the US audience. Hikki doesnt have that, she always had the clean cut, cute image and its strange to change her style to appeal to the US. She is pretty but more cute in my opinion and although I havent seen every single live performance of hers on videos or anything but I think shes awesome live from what i seen. I mean Utada United 2006 was just incredible, or some of her older lives like when she sang Devil Inside and wore that Devil hello Kitty Tshirt, that live performance was good, although im not sure why she was holding a guitar and pretending to play it though >.<
