vietnamese food usually tastes fresh and light, not oily like alot of chinese food can be. my favourite would be pho i guess, braised beef pho? i like the drinks too, should give the soda flip a try its alright haha. condensed milk with soda and an egg yolk.
i think i only ever order pho and spring rolls in viet restaurant... come to think of it i haven't had viet food for years...
I love the viet sandwiches bahn mi <3 and grilled porkchops! Spring rolls, pho... Vietnamese food is also really affordable in NYC, great value <3
I remember seeing this gal posting a lot of Vietnamese recipe up under the Viet section but I gathered the posts have taken down since it's under the wrong section. Nevertheless, I didn't expect her to be banned and the posts to be completely removed from the site. Damn .. those posts appeared to be good recipe too .. was gonna try it .. sigh.
I had a viet spring roll before. I think it was wrapped in Rice Paper with shrimp and noodles inside. It wasn't that bad. I've never had pho because it looks too oily.
I have hear vietnamese food are very nice,but I try a few it doesn't taste that good may be the resturent I went not that good.
