@ Skywalka, here is what my skin looks like, its not quite vista, but i like it.. lol and if ur wondering, its 1680x1050 resolution and if u look closely, the window edges are seethrough
If it's using 28-30% of a 2gb ram on idle; are you going to need more rams if you are a gamer? I have not tried Vista nor an avid gamer; but I do play games from time to time. Now, i'm not sure if I want to upgrade to Vista especially risking not able to play some of my favorite older games.
if your a gamer, you should have 2gb anyways, which should be enough for vista and the game how much memory does vista let you have anyways, is it still 32bit=2gb 64bit=4gb?
well i play games but i'm a gamer... i think 2 GB is enought, if not i have still 1 dual channel free so i can upgrade my ram easily XD
all the major brands like mcafee and symantec should be rolling out their av with vista compatibility already..
Vista????(XP in disgusie) Vista? LMAO its a copy of Mac os X. sad pathetic microsoft! do something better than copy Apple. I think microsoft is going to fall. seriously, vista is no different from xp except it has a couple more features and better graphics (GUI and etc.) Basically VISTA sux ppl! DOnt let microsoft fool you! You are better off sticking with XP. MS screwd themselves over in the butt (I hope Crapbox 360 dies, maybe they should name it EX-box 360, PS3 will triumph). Anyways, if you havent used Mac before then obviously you dont know what I'm talking about. The security features and the new kernel is annoying and dont bother upgrading from xp, trust me or you'll regret it. My classmate bought a new laptop w/ vista and he kept on getting this popups from Windows and his screen blacked out like 20 times in 1 minute(MS claims that itz security feature *cough yeah right*). People, stick with either XP or switch over to Mac.
main thing i like about vista is that even if the video is minimized you can still preview it in the taskbar and like wise when the tab the windows.. really like the win+tab feature.. it's all nice n flashy.. but I just turned off aero to see how much faster it runs... or maybe I should just get more ram if turning off aero don't make much difference..
Personally, I do not own a copy of VISTA (thank goodness). But I am obligated to use it at work. And I find the interface is not as self explanatory as XP or other older versions of Windows. I don't think that there are really much good reasons to support VISTA, besides the pretty interface. I think I'd rather use XP than VISTA. I just pray that I do not get hit with the "Blue Screen of Death." hehehe...
Working with vista enterprise now for a couple of months and i gota say, not my main os, but def gettin there.
