I've never seen the glue thing, but I've seen one of my friends using the tape. It looks way too obvious if you ask me... Even with make-up on top of it.

No, it's like surgical tape... like the kind that doctors use, and it's pre-cut into the shape of a cresent to fit the top of your eye-lid.

Even though it's supposedly "clear", you can still notice that it's there.

The tape doesn't look too obvious here, but apply make-up on top of it, & it'll become easily noticeable.
