Rooney is a great player! The things he does goes unappreciated. Personally, I think Rooney is better than C.Ronaldo. I thought CR played poorly against Inter Milan, and should have played better, seeing as he's currently the best player in the world.
even the best player cant perform brilliantly all the time. although i was shocked Rooney was left out of the line up against Inter and i was praying he come on and contribute in the game at some point but came on too late to make an impression >.< ah well, hope he starts in the Home game which he should anyway ^^
I think Rooney is over-rated as well. But I guess you have to play incredibly well if your team consists of so many super stars.
His desire to win made him the special one in the team. He never give up in every opportunity to get the ball.
Rooney was just an ok ok player. his form greatly decrease after Ronaldo provoked the referee to send him off during Euro 2004 Portugal vs England match. since tat match, Ronaldo's performance overwhelms Rooney. Thanks to Rooney's bad temper, Ronaldo had become a world class player since after.
Now that C7 is gone, Rooney will have to step it up and prove that he is (and was) indeed a world-class striker
