i think it's kind of unneccessary for ppl to date during their early-teens and in high school. it's better to go when your 20+ if ur wanting a relationship. cuz most ppl in college and around those age are more mature than those hs student that acts like their mature but are not. and they know how to treat a person more nice and correctly rather than those hs student, which have a lot of break-ups from time to time, some may last a long time, but it's better if you start it a little bit late, cuz time will come one day. just a tip: those hs student who date really early, u mostly find them as the conceded and stuck-up type.
Studying should be more important. You can have all the fun you want once you're in college. But, if you happen to be mature and are capable of balancing school life w/ social life, then I guess it's okay. Very rarely do I see that in teenagers, though.

ummm it was funny reading all the reply it seem like everybody is against or think it a bad idea to be dating at a young age....well i started having a relationship when i was in 3rd grade!! ..and i'm in 9th grade now..hahha it wasn't really a relationship it all started when i thought this one guy was cute and then as it goes he like me i like him and yah hahah...i didn't take it seriously cuz i know it not gonna last..just having one for fun..and who know maybe it well last..so yea i think people should start dating when ever they want to and you don't have to be mature for a relationship all you need is love
yeah... teens should b studying n stuff... but... once u leave high school u'll never get to experience the puppy love stage again... the 2 of u in school uniform holding hand walking to McDonalds sharing a BigMac meal...
Good points Peachy, but I feel that your response has more to do with the younger generation and the diversity of all these personalities rather than the specific group that EvaxTvxQ was talking about and that's where my explantion was directed towards. Responding to your opinion I do feel that the media affects society and in return creates endless waves that will eventually affect almost everyone(younger generations) and in return we have britney, jlo, and 2pac wanna bz or maybe not to that extreme but if it doesn't affect them directly it'll affect their friends and unlike homosexuality, they may very well catch it. Think about it, if they didn't have t.v. and the influence of those affected by these specific types of media how much different would these kids act? So my point is they got these ideas from somewhere and that somewhere are these specific types of media and those affected by it cause I think it's safe to say their parents arn't teaching them to do all the things they do these days if yah know what I'm saying.. Anyway, I'm glad to see that ur so open minded and willing to explore possibilities rather then juss conclude(not to offend anyone) and that's always refreshing.

i think the age of starting a serious relationship should be around 18. my friends (who are 16) date someone for a week and decides they love them. it's a bit pathetic in my eyes. and it's so stupid these days.. i recently went back to my elementary school and there are so many little 12 year olds talking about how they've already had 3 boy/girlfriends that year. seriously. = =''
I don´t really think it matters at all...yes 12 is a bit young but over 16 then it doesn´t matter in which age you date...I didn´t start dating until I was 17 which mean 2 years ago...and I´m glad I dated in that age becuase I knew what I was doing and I could feel if it felt right or not.
