I'm re-reading a book called MONSTER: The Autobiography of an L.A. Gang Member by Sanyika Shakur, aka Monster Kody Scott.

If anyone is interested in urban gangs and stuff this is the book to read. It's definitely my favorite.

Oaktown Devil by Renay Jackson is also another good one.

What newspaper do you read?? As per you local ones? Or international ones like NYT and The Guardian??

I personally adore NYT and WSJ ALOT, though the free online content is somewhat limited. Of course, I devour whatever newspaper I can get my paws (and mouse) on: Toronto Star (Toronto, Canada local paper), National Post (Canadian paper), Le Monde (to practice my very broken French), Ming Pao (Hong Kong news!)...

I guess I just waste much of my time reading the same article in differenct languages, but heck, one would be surprised the difference in perspective and point of view the columnist takes.
