i'm 100% hk, and i speak only cantonese... ii want to learn mando meh... but i think i got to learn how to read and write first hehe!
I can't speak cantonese but i can understand listening to most of the language, and i can speak some hakka as im hakka person but i can sorta listen to mini phrases of mandarin. Overall, i can sometimes understand a chinese drama if they have some traditional chinese subs or english of course ;p Both parents came from hong kong and speak hakka, and cantonese. They can understand mandarin.
Born in H.K. and speak Cantonese. I now reside in Vancouver, Canada, and feel I need to learn Mandarin because all around me I hear mostly Mandarin spoken.

im canto parents from macao (alot of casinos now) can understand a bit of mando but cant speak 4 shit
toisanese, cantonese[guang zhou style only], mandarin [mainlander style and taiwanese style.] English is my default language grew up in the states. Hoisan ngin hai ngor hai ngor! ew nek ga ma chiu hai mn ying du gee ngan! Wei, ni kan shen me? taishan hen diao! taishan zui bang ah! toisan ngan zhun hai zhoi zhang!
I also speak Cantonese at home and my parents can speak Hak ka and Mandarin as well. I can understand a bit Hak ka and mandarin, but can't speak it. -er
