Though my parent come from Macau, I don't speak Cantonese very well but I'm improving it by watching TVB drama and movie. I learn Mandarin by chatting with my penpal.
We moved to Denmark when I was 8 so just can only speak some few basic madarin words + the local dialect and I understand about 50 % of canton (can't speak it though...)
only canto i wish my parents had put me through chinese school like my two older sisters but they never had. I would come in so handy knowing how to read and write it since im moving to China next year
I can speak Cantonese and understand a lil bit of Chiu Chow wah I'm from Germany and I'm studyin mandarin right now so hopefully I can read and write afterwards
i speak canto with my friends, understand abouyt 60% of mandarin but cant speak... and speak toisan at home
i speak tiuchow... kinda another chinese around in shanghai i think i can speak cantonese and manderin.. just a lil but i can't write or read >.<
Catonese - albeit with a Vietnamese/Guangxi accent so people from the 'Eastern' Cantonese speaking places like Gunagzhou and Hong Kong find my accent hilarious/baffling/amusing -tongue2
