What Chinese dialect do you speak?

  3. i speak cantonese, spanish and a bit of mandarin, i understand some hakka , my dads speaks it , mjy moms vietnamese

    speak fluent in cantonese - not so fluent in hakka & even worse at mandarin! (but will give it a go!)
    have full understanding of all though...

    I have family who speak Taishanese. I currently only speak Cantonese and English. I want to learn Mandarin though, because I'm sick of people speaking to me in Mandarin, and I just have to look blank ^^ . . I can only say basic Mandarin phrases, including numbers and "Can you speak Cantonese / English?" lol.

    Cantonese, a bit of Mandarin, Hokkien (influenced by where i am living now), Hakka (influenced by my childhood place), Hainanese (my mom side), Tsangling (my father side), of course English, Malay and a bit of Thai.

    Cantonese, basic Mandarin, some Taishanese because almost everyoneee speaks in my neighborhood when I was growing up.

    Very simple Japanese and Spanish :)

    there seems many taishan ren here... i only speak canto, erm, does hongkonguese mandarin count haha?

    come to think of it what are the main dialects of chinese

    (i speak cantonese ... though primary language is english since based in UK i dont know that many chinese people so i never improve my chinese well so my cantonese is only good for convo's if it explaining stuff i seriously sux at that)

    cos i can slightly understand mandarin i try to at least


    hakka ... omg i seriously cant understand it i cant sense any bit of like chinese in it at all... for some reason

    hongkonguese mandarin? lol?
