well tbh it all depends cos like ur only shy usually when u first meet people whereas confident people are ones that take initiative at the beginning when meeting people. usually when u know someone then ur not rele shy anymore. so in reality shy guys may lose out at first but then again u get chances to talk to girls and stuff anyway and if ur shy ur not shy all the time and people can always pluck up some courage. so it doesn't rele matter. besides if u rele like someone, even if ur shy u would pluck up the courage to talk to them. the only problem is if ur shy to reveal ur feelings to a girl cos then u could waste time before u find out what the other girl feels about u.

well, from majority of these posts. i see that most people find shy guy cute or something along that line. i see most of the girls here kinda dislike shy guys later on after they meet. well from my past experience of being kinda loner (hmmm shy first, and now taking initiative). i mean, girls like a person who can have a lively normal discussion about anything and being able to keep the conversation alive is good too. i mean loosing up, the best way to loosing up is probably start with some funny pass experience or with jokes. i mean, if you got nothing to say. here is some question you can use to keep the conversation on for long period. HEY, HOW IS YOUR DAY? HEY, WHAT YOU BEEN UP TO? HEY, ANY PLANS TO DO SOMETHING CRAZY?

ha not so sure about the last one and besides if they aren't interested the convo doesn't go very far and that could knock a shy person's confidence immensely so i guess for a shy person to take initiative is not always as easy as it seems.

    shy vs. quite

i couldn't really tell between the two lol.
shy/quite guys seems like a nice challenge to overcome.

its normal to be shy. everyone has a personality. but if ur close and ur still shy, then u have to try to open up urself more.

how can u be shy around people u trust and know? it takes time to develop.

lol I don't like shy guys. IMO, a good amount of confidence is way more attractive than the cuteness these people are talking about. Shy guys usually do not take initiative and aren't very "manly" haha. I also find most to be pushovers. Lameeeee (N) I need someone who will argue with me hahaha :p I like control, but if I control everything there is no challenge, no excitement, no fun. I broke up with my ex boyfriend because he always just followed me and let me decide everything. booooo so boring.

A lot of people are shy, so I don't really mind. But if they are too shy to initiate or open up, then it's a bad trait.

I personally prefer a guy who is more confident and willing to initiate.

People are getting too selfish, that's why they believe in relationships and marriages that eventually fail, and there are statistics to it !

It's just true, because people expect TOO MUCH of someone else.

It's a give or take. I can tell the people above are just too selfish, a bit, and expect things in a fantasy land. LOL

    ---

No one is perfect, there will always be a balance. No one is really shy, no one is ever too confident. This is just human behavior. Time will show whose strong in situations and whose weak as well, and in those times, is when 1 compliments the other.

For me, I would think a girl more on the shy side to be more of character because of implications and just because I think she wouldn't have the trashy personality like most girls are now days.

Most guys these days are too conceited and juiced on steroids. They think hot bods, rich, g35s are everything, but in reality it isn't.

man im mad shy too. usually i couldn't initiate a "normal" conversation cause im not into news, sports, or anything ppl usually talk about. but when i do speak out, i usually say something really stupid and dumb. kinda like wat peter griffin would say.
