it's the asian/oriental parent mentality. those of us who happen to be born to such parents generally can't avoid it.

i wont lie, i dont think i can date any other race outta of asian. its just that ive been around asians most of my life(for now) i dont really think i can connect with other races as well as asians. we can always be friends but the differences cant connect.
That's not true!! There are differences, but THEY CAN CONNECT...btw how can you know that if you have never ever tried it?????
I am Asian and currently with an Mexican~ My mother and her side of relatives would prefer me to be with an Asian, but for me it doesn't matter as long as I am comfortable and my feelings with them, ethnicity doesn't matter. However now, my mom learned to accept my boyfriend even though he doesn't speak Cantonese.
yea my family wasn't too thrilled when I was dating a spanish girl but when I started dating a chinese girl they started saying I should concentrate on school. So now I don't even tell them even if I have one. I tell them I'm gay now haha. They laughed at first but they stopped after I started repeating it haha.
