    So the only difference btw anime and cartoon is the geographical origin?? Lol...all that debate over anime and cartoons. Call me an idiot, but it seems the same to me.

    Well, the thing is that only the Japanese call their work anime from "animation" and some people took it way too seriously and ran with this newly coined word.

    If anyone care to answer, what's the difference between animation and cartoon? If there's none, then there's no difference between anime and cartoon save its geographical origin.

    This is a very in depth explanation of anime indeed. I always just watched anime for the cute pictures.
