I find racing boring also. Maybe it's just me, but watching cars go around and around the track just seems so boring...
It is a continuous strive for perfection. Drivers find satisfaction in pushing their cars to the limit to gain every hundredth of a second they can. The reason cars are the way they are today is mainly due to advances which originate from motorsport (such as ABS, traction control, sequential gearboxes - all these originate from F1 (forrect me if I'm wrong))
personally i dont see the thrill in seeing a car drive round and round a track x amount of times and when they do those Formula 1 live races on TV. they dont tend to focus on anything exciting. i mean they may look at the leader or something but they dont really see other drivers overtake another driver. well not from what i can see anyway. driving yourself is fun but seeing someone else drive. not so exciting.
