I don't think I've ever had to wait that long before. When I did have to, it was a drop in, so never was an appointment. Once waited for about 6 hours with a broken ankle at the emergency room a number of years back. That didn't include the time it took for X-rays and wait for someone to come put a cast on my leg.
I'm not surprised with the 2 hour waiting limit. I've waiting close to that before too but the worst part is when I finally got to see the doctor he was rushing the whole process because that place is always jam packed with people. I probably only saw him for like 15 minutes!
Anyway .. bottom line is that docs these days are not out to save your life but for $$$ .. the best doc is yourself; know your body; don't always trust what your doc said .. they're rushing so much through each patient despite the long wait that I don't even think they really look things careful enough to make any diagnosis. Your complaints only mean more tests and until then; you will be referred to more specialist and more testings; then back to the primary for more shit .. not just the waiting time at the doc's office but the entire process simply knowing what's going with your body .. sigh ..
yea that does seem excessively long especially if ur paying for it. i've never had to wait for that long for a gp check up but then again i don't go very often. usually its about 15 mins wait not too bad and u can't complain at all if it is free.
3 hours..as its based on first come first serve..I reached there at around 9am and there are about 15 persons in front of me..even though we are paying for it, but then again, if the doctor is good..we still need to wait...
^ this isn't urgent care but a private practice .. urgent care and er is different .. can't compare that to a regular private office general med doc .. the waiting time should never go beyond 30 min.
^ I totally agree except the without appt one .. you can't argue if they make you wait longer than 1 hr .. you're not in the position to bargain sorta speak .. just be grateful to be seen within the hour .. that's how i feel.
