    I always make mines with a 3:1 ratio with bamboo shoots, dried shredded pork, and that glutton stuff, it's so amazing.

    congee... is good when ya sick, have tooth removed, cant chew. i like the one with octopus, some meat and scallions....

    To be honest, I have only ever eaten one type of congee and did the realise the actual diversity. personally, I prefer seafood congee!

    the kind with ground pork bits, thousand year old egg, black eyed peas, peanuts, and green onions. YUMMY!!!!

    never had any other type of congee..only had the chinese kind. preserved egg and pork is my fave. simple and yummy!

    I've never seen the point of eating overboiled rice.

    The kind of like some congee with seafood type of ingredients, I think its called "ten jai jok" in hong kong.

    i like the more soupy congee where the rice is smooth and creamy with thin beef slices and green onions on top.

    MMM...I LOVE CONGEE. My favourite is beef congee ~ the half melted rice type, with the beef put in at the last minute...tender and yummy!
