Yeh its weird...when I talk to chinese people I always speak in Canto They always say u can speak english u kno -lol Can't help it ><"
I've been asking myself this same question too on a moment of midnight existentialism a while back, but I think the conclusion for me would be just depending on the situation. As I'm typing this I'm thinking in English mixed with some Canto words/phrases and if I don't recall an English word, I know I'll automatically switch to either Dutch or Canto and vice versa. And with my sister and relatives of same age we can use a mix of 3 languages in sentences.
Hmm, both but it comes up randomly in my head and I never know why I didn't think in the other language for it.
Chinese and English, But mostly engilsh. Cause my Chinese isn't that good. I only think chinese when i have to say something in chinese. xP
Because I speak mostly in English I tend to think in English but when I speak Chinese I think in a mixture of chinese and english - strange, but never really thought much about this until now
how do u think in a language ?... i guess if i hear myself talking in my head i or saying something in my mind i "think" in english....
i think mostly in english.. but i'm suprised that there are certain words that only chinese can express & or OR dialects can express... haa.. i think the language that you speak would be the language that you think in.. and there again i don't really monitor what lang i think in.. it's just sub-concious..
