Old testement believers went to Sheol at death which is basically what we refer to as hell. According to the bible, this place was split into 2 with a huge gulf between. This is also shown when Jesus tells us about Lazarus and the rich man (Luke 16:19). hell as we know it was divided into 2 places, a place of comfort where Lazarus was (paradise or Abraham's bosom) , and a place of torment where the rich man was. After Jesus' death he descended into hell (though he had never done even 1 sin in his life) and went to preach to those in paradise, they were taken back up wth Jesus. Hell was created for Satan and his angels but through sin, humans can fall there too. Jesus is God.
^ you just completely lost me. Jesus is God? Jesus cant be God. when you pray you say in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit right? the Son is Jesus, so Jesus cant be the Father too. so the Father must be God. this is all based on my studies at my christian school.
