tbh the rmvb files these days are rele very gd quality and the size is small, the resolution is only slightly less than dvd which is very watchable so i don't see why ppl complain, especially if u get the neo versions. if u rele are that fussed then u can get the high definition videos available now, that quality is superior to dvd if u are willing to spend more time getting the file and if u have enough hdd space.
lol, yer , the rmvb HD is actually pretty good, yer , its a bit bigger than normal rmvb, but its a lot clearly, lolless blur , lol theres a rmvb burner? lol tell me where
yeah but it sux these days wen u can tell its from a hd and then u get one thats not >.< lol never noticed how bad it was before... but given how clear it is these days ahhhh =)
I dun see anything wrong with RMVB Most of my series in my download folder are all rmvb with a few exception being avi Think its small and its compact definitely makes it easy when i wanna move stuff around
First thing is that Real Video 10 aggressivly blurs details especially at low bitrates. This makes the video more easy to compress without macroblocking but effectivly removes details like bumps and shadows. So despite having full 480p resolution the quality is commercial quality VHS. In fact the best RMVB that i've seen are are those that resize the SD video to a resolution like 512*384 and using around 700 kbps for video. In my opinion if the encoder use h.264 they can maintain 480p/576p resolution while maintain good detail and avoiding macroblocking. Here's a example of three video I encoded from Vista media center's example video file "Jewel's of the Carribean". One is an 450 Kbps RMVB file, second is an 700 Kbps RMVB file, and the third is and h.264 file in an mkv container. The h.264 file maintain more detail than even the 700 Kbps RMVB file. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O1Q5KRFY The encoders have every right to choice what format they choose and I respect their decision, however RMVB is no long a good choice for downloaded re-encoded files, it's been supplanted by better codecs like h.264.
I also dont like rmvbs. People from other countries have dvd players which cant play rmvb files. I live in AU and only divx players are on sale and they arent compatible with rmvb files. I prefer XviD files.
no complains on free stuff... rmvb is great and I am using a HD player that plays rmvb directly connected to my TV. Enjoying every minute of it. Thanks to all the hardworking uploaders. KUDOS!
Compare to the non-HD rmvb files, the HD rmvb files are pretty good. Try to upload a big avi file before you complain. One must appreciate all the hard work of the uploaders. They are all volunteers that like to share their resources. If all files are uploaded in avi, due to its increased size and longer upload time, uploaders may not be able to post as many files in the servers or as quickly. Also they wiil exhaust their allocated server space in their accounts a lot sooner.
if ur dling neway... wats the need for a dvd player? dvd players are kinda getting useless... u have a pc and it does everything i live in au, and any1 whos smart enuff won't ever bother buying a divx compatible dvd... waste of $$
u can just connect your PC to your TV. that would save u the trouble of burning it on to DVDs and Converting it.
right on!!! its like who these days don't actually connect pc to tv... everything is streamed from pc onto big ass tv screen! =) the only times i burn to dvd is to store it as backup
not ever backing up on DVD these days. HDD is so cheap just get another one. My burner is pretty useless only to burn mp3 songs on CD for my car.
