thats funny I was just thinking about this question the other day. A friend is someone that you can go to and be stupid with.
hehe, i like your definition, ahcow2, although it is kind of unrealistic (yes, this little part was edited). mm.. is it possible to be a "friend" with someone who you used to be really good buddies with but because of a falling out or moving away (big distance), you lost touch or don't talk with each other anymore but whenever you see each other, you still have that same comfortableness? and have you ever been caught in those situations where you think of someone as your friend but they don't seem to have that mindset about you?
Yup I think so, I would consider him/her as a friend still since I still feel comfortable around him/her. Just that possibly the level of friendship wouldn't be as high as previously. Yes I think so, once or twice.. When I was betrayed by him/her.
whoa strong expectation for a friend huh? Someone who would die for you... I don't think I can come across that easily; even in a close friend. I know how often we see those in movies, but in reality I think that's VERY VERY rare.
