for the storyline, plot, and the likes : 1. FF tactics (twists and turns, betrayal, hidden/unspoken and the true real hero, etc) 2. FFVIII (its d first FF i played) 3. FFVII (together with its advent children... for me, my best movie of all time is Advent children) Gamestyle, interface : 1. FFVIII (its very unique and quite easy LOL) 2. FFVII i like FF games becoz their amv's are very cool... i only played FF7,8,9,tactics becoz i only got a PS unit... didnt had a PS2 and the others... FF5,6 were out in the PS unit but its graphic made me dizzy T_T i really hope and wish that i get to play all of FF series (1-latest), and anything with FF
I would debate betweem FF7 and FF8 both story lines were great Tactics was very fun as well FF13 looks like its going to be crazy cool
FF Seems like all the FF games after FF7 is isn't as great. They are probably concentrating too much on the graphics instead of the storyline.
FFVIII - Squall baby! He is so cool. I wish I had a working gunblade I would go around shooting trees.. But only trees.
FF7 is the best, FULL STOP. i hardly cry but aeries getting killed had me in tears. aeries kinda looked like my girlfriend which contributed.
It's a toss up between 7 and 8. I mean 7 was mindblowing for it's time, which is why it's still loved so much. 8, however, introduced some amazing character graphics, a cool new magic system that was less complicated than materia and actually had a full-blown love story (which wasn't super common in games back then). Most guys will say that romance makes them blow chunks, but it was cool how they were able to mold it all together with an action adventure.
