    Pffft ! And how many Mandarin actors/singers speak Cantonese well?

    Not specifically in regards to this thread, but I find it annoying when people make fun of others who can't speak their language when when they themselves can't speak the other persons language!

    Example: when white people make fun of Chinese speaking english. But look how many white people have the linguistic talent to speak Cantonese?

    what's worse is when i was taking esl my first couple yrs in college, there were sooo many AMERICAN ppl in that class.. i get a pretty good grade in those classes.. but they almost fail.. they don't even know their own language!!
