ok, i think i got some good and bad news for the new ps3, 40gb ps3 is cheaper thats the good news, but the bad news is the 40gb ps3 cannot play ps2 games. that is what i saw from the newspaper. The new version PS3 is suppose to be $60USD cheaper than the other ones....
The lack of compatibility issue has been mentioned in previous posts... Some members even took sides to that issue. Me? Not a PS fan, but I wouldn't NOT buy a console just because its backward compatibility sucks, thought backward compatibility is one of those perks which gets me EVERY TIME.
didnt really see it but still... kinda stink.. i rather pay $60 extra for the one that can play ps2 games guess sony is trying to get more people to buy the ps3.. since ps3 sooner will be outselling xbox360.. guess they're trying to outsell wii also lol
they're probably stopping backward compatability cos its costing too much and if they were too lower the prices after a while then they would lose more profit so they want to gain as much profit as possible and the only way is to remove the backward compatability i guess.
don't hav a ps3 atm.. thinking of gettin one.. but i think the black shiny one would be better... mine consoles are usually situated under the tv.. dual shock 3 is looking good!! and the white doesn't look too bad eitrher.. might consider white instead of black this time tho.. think it's time for a change
Bit gutted if I bought the black one. What is with these companies. 1st white Xbox then black and then the reversed for PS3
it looks so cool but i guess it will be a while for it to come to australia too bad^^ and it would seem like that the 60gb is getting faded out and dam it i want that ^^;
