hopefully you'll get that pci-express and a dual core processor, heard it utilzes it too. Don't know about you but usually games don't really play too well if i have the minimum specs on my pc lol, especially online.
Im going to get a new graphics card soon Gonna see if there anything new out if not ill probably get a 8800
Noway, atleast a good 7 series card if you want max settings on newer games like graw and graw 2, etc etc. And for the person that said 2 8800 gtx is overkill -- not for long. I ran the dx10 demo and barely got over 20 fps in game with 1680 resolution with one 8800 gtx. 2 isn't going to get you very far in next gen dx10 games and that's what the card was made for. I hear the 8950 gx2 is going to be 3 times faster than one 8800 gtx so wait for that one to come out and run it in sli. That's overkill.
that's crazy!! don't think i'll be able to run many of the new games that come out on a 7600GT.. :( geforce 6? wat's thaT?
Assuming you have a 7600GT...your card is of the 7 series...now do you get it? I personally have a 8800gts so that's under the 8 series...
oh yeah.. thanx.. cool.. so i hav a series 7...... does this just apply to geforce cards? :S cos radeon 9250 can't be a series 9... lol
Yeah, only geforce cards. I don't know much about the radeon series coz I don't buy them, but there's the x series.
yea i got 8600GT for like $200 but than like the next week they were selling a 8600GTS for $200 and than on boxing day they were selling a 8600GT for $100 i was soo pissed
sucks.. had I waited I coulda got GTS with relative same price I paid for... but then again.. I've had my card for several months now.. so whaddaya gonna do? -shrug
I have an eVGA 8800GT as well, although it's slightly under $200 now. Not sure if this counts, but it was around $250 at release. It's a pretty good card. I can use it to play any game (recent ones) I want at max settings, cept Crysis. =/.
