Why are Chinese People so Good at Maths?

i would rather learn math than other major,,,

 

i am not the stereotyped chinese that is good in maths. in fact, i suck in maths. most of the time i would be struggling to pass the subject. i have a strong dislike for maths =D

 

I am chinese and am quite good at maths and i enjoy it more than most other subjects. I think am good at maths because of my mum who used to be a maths teacher and she constanlty drills maths into my head.

 

i hate maths and im not good at it

 

yup i only like to learn math and science maybe history but usually those two haha. i want a major in science...

 

Chinese people are good in math only because of their early schooling years. It really different being brought up in asia math is must. Where as in america I think it is not the same.

i think the chinese from hk + china are good at maths because they are forced to learn stuff when they're 6 when we're learning at 10 hahahahaha

 

i prefer math than english/ literatures.

 

not all Chinese good at math, it just we have strict parents, which put our studies on top priority

 

it's cause their English is bad.

its just we work on things that we are gd at and as we are not english we think to ourselves maths is the same everywhere else and it can be something that we are gd at perhaps.

 

i think foreign country Chinese children's math are good. That cause parents don't know much english so they just teach math ... so the child learn math at a very young age. practice makes perfect.

Some children can't speak english very well even tho they lived in US all there life.

 

lol i totally agree!!! u c more chinese students doing math, busines and engineerinf related degree compared to english n geography!!! maybe its in our genes

im sorta good in math back in the days. But since i had calculus back in college, ill take my words back.

 

haha it mayb because we are forced into learning math at a young age like learning multiplication when ur a 2nd grader haha or mayb we are more logical so science and math is just easier iono thats what i think.
