Hell, I'd Force My Own Child To Take Math And Science Take Out The Old Whip And Say When Somebody Asks You About The Red Lines Say You Fell Down The Stairs In Your Huge Mansion...'-' Which Means It All Started With One Family And Others Thought It Was A Good Idea And Decided To Do It Too..
my parents too emphasized the importance of academics and not the arts ("can't make a living")...my sister learned her multiplication before going to kindergarten!
hmm...im chinese.. and i like math.. fairly easy for me but maybe because im errr.. lets see... still in High School...LOLs... finishing Math A in September but... my math has always been my highest grade..-^_^
I dont like maths... I prefer science but i also like history :S so... i think that because you're chinese it doesn't mean you ARE good at maths... because i'm not >.<
i think asians are good at math is just a stereotype thing, then everyone expects asians to be great at math and when we arent we get laughed at. then every asian strives to do well at math.
i guess is what ppl say, if you're good at math, u suck at english but if you're good at english, u suck at math?
i think it's because a lot of chinese aren't good at english when they leave china, but because math does not require any translation, they choose math
