Will you teach your kids Chinese?

I'm just going to let my kids watch chinese tv shows...best way to learn any language

 

that mean they only can inderstand and not read...

 

Of course I will. I will try to let them learn more than just Chinese and English; maybe Spanish, Latin, Japanese and Korean.

 

I will teach them chinese. but probably not my native language. I hope they learn Mandarine. better for them in the future.

 

Cantonese is a dying language. so sad for it. If anything they'd have to learn Mandarin first then English and then maybe a 3rd.

 

I would definitely let my child learn Chinese. Ideally get a Chinese wife, so my child would learn it from native speaker.

 

It's more like taishanese is dying. Everyone who spoke taishanese start speaking CANto, and never look back......but for the exception of me.

i often catch ppl talking about me, wen they think i don't understand (coz i speak Eng a lot) but i do! XD

but yea anyway, i would but my chinese is pretty messed up D:
so that's gonna be kinda hard, wat i'm annoyed about is that my dad used to be a chinese teacher so why he cudn't teach me chinese i do not know! but instead he chose to not teach me and tell me off now instead.... (like it's all my fault) >< i undestand that both my parents were busy...

but yeah i want to learn it properly at some point and if i get to a decent level maybe i can teach it to them... i think they're better off learning from tv shows tho! lol that's how i understand a lot of it, but speaking is a different story... lol

 

yes, id teach him/her canto and mandarin... they ll thank me later for a nice multi lingual job lol

i definetly want to teach mykids chinese...problems is that i have trouble finding a place that teach cantonese in queens....my chinese is not good at all....

 

It is always good to have knowledge in many languages.
English, Chinese, Malay, Cantonese, a bit of Hakka and Hokkien.
That's all I know so far.. still trying to improve though

And Yes. It's good to learn Chinese. Saves the trouble when you're in China. lol

Definitely, not only mandarin but also cantonese and hakka even though my cantonese suck real bad. The more languages they speak, the better.

Yes. Chinese is going to be an important language with the rise of China.

 

i'll definitely have my kids learn chinese....the best way, leave them in china for schooling for a year or two

i learned my chinese from living in china for almost a year.
