Well, I don't know as much chinese as I should, so I can't really be the one to 'teach my kids' Chinese... Though if i decide to take the class in college I will be able to. Even though I'm pretty sure my parents would be the one to incorporate the language to them. So marrying a chinese girl wouldn't really matter to me. o.o
I will. If they are going to be as reluctant as I was back when I was young and stupid, there's nothing a gai mo so won't fix.
Totally, I am totally teaching my kids chinese. Three dialects too! Toisanese, Cantonese, and Mandarin. And the girl that I marry better bring some more dialects so this kid(s) will be super crazy with skills. Seeing Chinese who only speak english is a disgrace. Those kids should be banned, until they learn at least something. Stupid white wanna-be's.
Yes as there is no harm in learning another language if you speak more than one. It can come in use for them later on
I think learning chinese is a big deal in my family and I would like my kids to talk to there grand parents and family remember in chinese, plus it souinds cute when they talk too...
I will definitely teach mym children chinese . Even if my husband would be an Austrian or someone who doesn´t understand chinese. Because I think it´s very important. It doesn´t harm you to learn a language more. For example me, I understand Hindi although I´m chinese.
i will definately teach them chinese have to at least be able to converse in chinese it is kinda shameful when a chinese dont understand chinese at all =P
