Lol watched all of the final... like 5 hours of tennis, it's worth it though. One of the best tennis matches i've seen in ages. 5 Wimbledon titles for Federer now. Nadal played well and had chances to go ahead in the 5th set but didn't take it well enough whereas Federer did.
Well done to Federer for his 5th consecutive win. Hopefully there will be more to come so he can beat Pete Sampras' record of 7. Nadal played really well - As Federer said, he will become a big threat when Federer retires. It was a great match to watch overall.
Game, Set, Match, ..? Game, Set, Match, Federer. It was a very good game, I think it was the toughest wimbledon final that federer has played. I hoping Federer to win, but it looked so scary in the 5th set. Due to the result in the 4th set, and his fustration with hawk eye. Nadal improved so much on grass, can't wait till the US Open.
yeah i only watched half (late here) but the half i watched was really good!!! tie break in the first set.... very evenly matched in the second and third (then sleep..lol) from wat i saw it was a really close game at the start!! Nadal has improved heaps!! federer should start gettin worried about his number 1 spot!
This is/going to be the best rivalry in all of tennis, IMO. They are incredible to watch, especially when they are almost opposites. Nadal has sensational athleticismand ever improving technique, whereas Federer plays a very tactical game coupled with *his* master technique. However, I think it'll still be a while of growth for Nadal before the games between them have an absolute sudden death kind of factor. But, great to see them challenge each others' best game. Hope to see Federer take it at next year's French Open so he has all the grandslams under his belt, hehe.
