I have Vista Biz, and all that extra stuff that Vista has is simply annoying. I like aero, but it took me a good couple hrs. to get that windows feel back by adjusting settings since you are unable to do anything without "Warning-program this, program that."
Vista rox! If you have the appropriate hardware. If not don't use it. As for the RAM requirements, they are Vista Basic (No Aero) Minimun:512MB Recommended:1GB Vista Premiun Minimun:1GB Recommended:2GB You can run under the minimun requirements, but it will be really slow. Also, don't run vista with any CPU lower than a AMD X2 or a Intel Pentium D. If you want to run Aero, you have to have a modern graphics card. If you are going to use vista, I highly suggest you make a new partition for it so you can boot back into XP anytime you feel like it. PS:I have a feeling people will rant me for this post. . .
First rant, uninstalled Vista and reinstalled XP Pro. I hate Vista period cause it's too new school for me.
I'm with ya. Buggy or not, it's still the next OS wether you like it or not. There are actually pluses to vista. There's nothing wrong with buying a "1st gen" OS as updates will be rolled out anyways. When you buy your Vista with SP1, I will also have SP1, but I also get the use vista long before you do. It's not like a 1yr 1gen car where design flaws are left and not dealt with.
I'm dual booting. . . . and about the positive effects of vista. . .BT speeds go up because the OS doesn't limit it as much as XP does -tongue2
I simply hate MS since the company is so massive they have a monopoly and demand whatever they want from users. I got my copy of Vista Biz from my school's i t dep . I think it's a corporate oem so I can say I screwed Microsoft over.-bigclap -bigclap -bigclap
lets fece the fact that a new OS requires a brand new PC to support it's need upgrading is a sad option-surr, you won't find any improvement if the old PC arctitecture can't handle it.-tongue2
lol not really, the reason they give out free copies, is so more people will use their OS, and since the school prob paid for a license its no prob for MS only when people pirate their stuff do they feel screwed
hehehe i get to download a free copy of vista business edition from my uni. get free copy also during their beta version where they require user to use it and report any bugs to them so they can release a complete version.
