oh yea, for those interested, this is my install: 15.5GB used on disk for Enterprise version x64 win10 install no apps yet, clean/fresh install, only additional thing is the nvidia drivers, google chrome and citrix receiver
I got Windows 10 installed on my tablet. I really like the new layout. Pros: -It has a start menu. -the search tool is more visible. -don't have to switch between apps and desktop view. Sticks with desktop view. -faster than Windows 8.1 (I think) -easy to navigate. Cons: -Wth, I have less than 1GB left of free internal space. Total internal storage is 23gb. -pre installed Candy Crush! Eww. -don't use tablet mode. It's mainly for users who uses apps. -the photos taken by the camera has large grey spots over them.
StephyLee weird that you have less than 1gb of space left... After my installation, I actually gained 8gb of space (had 22gb before, now 30gb). I haven't checked what games are installed, but can't you just right click and uninstall?
Yup, I uninstalled Solitaire and Candy Crush and all my Google Drive folders. I have 2gb of free space now. I discovered this interesting preinstalled software called 3d builder where you can design 3d model and print them using a 3d printer.
Try to go through your computer and see what you don't need or the download folder if anything is saved there to free up space. The only preinstalled software I had was 3D builder. Doesn't seem like I got any games with my upgrade.
Surprisingly smooth transition from win8.1 to win10. it defs boots up faster on my PC (circa 2008) than win 8.1 did... All in all UI feels like a well polished win 8.1....
Yea, I'm liking the upgrade from 7 to 10 as well. And finally, that creation tool finally worked for me I knew it was server issues that didn't allow me to download the full file.
What issues were you have Jeff ? if you d/l the iso, I just used this: http://rufus.akeo.ie/ to create the install from usb
H! Last week when I tried to create an iso file, it'll give me an error whenever I tried to create the USB file or ISO file. Now I guess once a shit ton of people are done downloading from their servers, I can do it no problem finally. I haven't tested the ISO yet and probably won't do so for a long time.
The best feature of Windows 10 is probably gaming performance boost. Other than that, the UI is just newer and similar experience as before.
StephyLee, if your computer can't handle games, upgrading it won't have much performance gain. Most games would require a graphics card to run smoothly.
What do you play? And yea, if you really want less lag than a graphic card will help more than upgrade to Windows 10.
