sounds painful...hope i don't ever have to pull them out. i heard about a lady that had hers pulled out and they struck and damaged a nerve under her tooth and now she has a paralyzed leg. hope you pick a good place to go to.
i dont know what the big fuss is about, i had all 4 pulled several weeks ago, had no use for the painkillers. i remember the dentist commenting, "yea, they're gonna have to put you out for these ones." not sure exactly what happened during surgery, but when i woke, the IV needle somehow made its way to the other hand and it was covered in blood (my hand). are you sure that lady got a paralyzed leg from that? cuz mine were really close to the nerve and the doc was telling me that the worst that can happen is that i would lose feeling in my lower lip and chin area. 4% of that happening. later i found out there was a complication during surgery and decided to cut the root and leave it entangled under the nerve.
My dentist was trying to get more money from me so he suggest he take out the wisdom teeth for me instead of going to a specialist....BIG mistake...I was in so much pain when he tried to take out one. After that, I went to see a specialist to take out the remainder three while I was knocked out...
are there any affects to having the wisdom teeth get pulled? why are ppl getting all their wisdom teeth pulled. is it genetic or just the way the teeth grew?
o shit.. i gotta get mine out soon.. does EVERYBODY haf to get their wwisdom teeth pulled at some point in their life?
haha, I had only 3 wisdom teeth instead of 4 like most people and all of them were removed too. It hurt pretty bad when I didn't take the pain killer on time, but when taken on time it wasn't that bad.
when i got mine pulled out, i think my dentist did a really good job because it didn't hurt all that much and i had like no swelling...
My top two came in, but I don't have to get them pulled, I'd like to experience what it feels like though, and maybe get some paid time off work.
i went to the dentist to clean my teeth and for a check-up.......they told me that I have to do some surgery to get my bottom wisdom out soon so it's wouldn't hurt as much later on when the roots are fully developed. It seems like good news but really not anticipating it.
i know exactly how u feel. I had surgery to remove all 4, my head felt like a nail when the doctor was using a hammer to chisel out the wisdom teeth. I was a chipmunk for 2wks. Not fun.
my oral surgeon was really good. didn't feel anything till i took the medcine an hour later. then i felt really sick. but the next day i was pretty much feeling fine and *almost* back to normal. a bit hard getting used to eating with your front teeth for the next week though.
I got 2 wisdom teeth at the bottom of my mouth, my dentist doesn't want 2 pull them out if he doesn't hav to.. thank god!! so far there doing ok, no probs...
the first time i got my wisdoms out .. it was only the top 2. i suffered for a week. a year later i had to get the other 2 out. why couldn't they take it all out at once! i had to pay extra for another xray and consultation fee. stupid dentists.
i had my wisdom teeth out when i was in grade 10. i pumped myself with so much tylenol 3...it still didn't help though...it sorta healed...but then i had a relapse and that hurt as much as it did before. getting your wisdom teeth out gives you an ego boost...if you didn't like your face before the operation, then you'll love it after you healed up.... I looked so weird and i wanted my face back...but it's all good now =D note: never take crushed up pills....it tastes NASTY
i had 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out like years ago. it didn't really hurt at first because they gave me like 5 freaken shot and it made it all numb. but after a few days later, it started hurting. Can't eat anything and my cheeks were swollen like a b****! its better to get it out when it is small, rather than let it grows big.heh
when i got mine pulled out. It was painful as hell afterwards, couldnt eat nothing. PUFFY CHEEKS@!!!!!!
