Yes, !@#!$% McDonald's. Sure, the 50% discout seems tempting.... but beware, it's not worth it. It was my first and worst job ever. Here are the reasons why it's the worst job in the planet and that I highly don't recommend anyone work there: 1. Shitty Pay - Pay is always minimum, and raises are equally minimal only once or twice a year. 2. Management - Managers favor those they like, and give their favorites' perks such as better/more hours, and also promotions. The managers think they're da shit, when in reality, they're lifers that won't get anywhere in life. C'mon, they're graudates of Hamburger University (http://www.mcdonalds.com/corp/career/hamburger_university.html or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamburger_University) There's also one in Vancouver, Canada, but I can't find the link. 3. Bad / Long Hours - Sometimes you don't get enough hours, for example, when school's out, I only got like 12 hours a week and had to beg for more. Sometimes they give you shifts on days when you're not available. Furthermore, sometimes you get stuck with shitty shifts like Friday/Saturday nights or even worse, MIDNIGHT shifts that run from 11pm-7am. Only if you're friends with the managers, THEN you'll get better hours (morning/afternoons) and more hours (25+). 4. Job Environment - Okay, who likes to smell and feel greasy after an 8 hour shift? Or standing at the burning hot fry station for 2 hours straight, letting that oil drench your skin? Or standing at the drive-thru window when it's -30C outside (it's Canada!!!) with a blizzard/snow blowing at you and stupid people can't make up their minds on orders and then you get even more colder because the till is frozen and you can't press it? Same goes with violent, hurricane like rains in the summer! Or how about when people spill shit all over the place and then you gotta clean it up, only to find more shit being piled all over the place? Or how about that 'awesome' Crew Room to eat your lunch, that never gets cleaned and has flies flying around all over while you try to eat? 5. Stupid Customers - I don't know, but sometimes you just meet the most stupidest and retardest customers ever. Period. I can't even give an example, I've seen too many. Rule of Thumb: Don't Work At McDonald's!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -ann -ann -ann -ann -doh -doh -er -er
Yes, it's 1am right now, I'm bored lol and I just had to rant about McDicks, worst experience ever... seeing that many other people probably worked there for their first jobs. I'm gonna save all the newbies in the work world, save them from stupid lifer managers, Ronald McDonald, Hamburgler and Grimace. (BTW, what the hell is Grimace? He sure is some scary shit, I mean, he's big, purple, and round... How can that be child friendly???) -huh?
Hmm... but at least Barney was a 'dinosaur'.... or at least that's what people called him, "Barney the Dinosaur" Who knows what Grimace is..... "Grimace the (blank)" When I was little, I used to think he was a McNugget or had some relation with the McNugget because of his SOMEWHAT McNugget like shape..... -huh?

yeah....job at mcdonalds sucks.....my friend worked at mcdonalds for a year and a half at wage of $6.5/hr because he didn't have 500 hrs of experience

Where I worked at McDonald's, they were announcing a "new and attractive uniform"... Turns out the "new and attractive uniform" was: -A uniform color change from this color to this color -Girls uniform were cut in a V-shape at the bottom of the shirt so that we didn't have to tuck it in. -Team Leaders got to have shirts with checkered-stripes that made them look like lumberjacks/voyageurs. Ya, that's about how sexy the uniforms got. But supposedly P. Diddy and Tommy Hilfiger are supposed to design 'hip-hop' uniforms for McDonald's. What's up with McDonald's trying to go all gansta.... lol

Really??? When I worked there, my pants were so baggy, like extra baggy guy pants... The only people that had "tight" pants were all the overweight and obese employees who, after working there so long, ate too much McDonald's and then all the junk started building down there .... so that's why their pants looked nasty tight.... It wanted to make me puke each time I saw them .... -sick2

Chinese restaurants are another bad place to work! Especially because of management, they rarely comply to labor rules, as most are either unaware of them or just don't care, and treat employees, like you said : DOGS.
