The absolute worst thing for me is probably being called Japanese all the time. I'm not a big fan of anything Japanese in particular nor do I like being called one(WW2 anyone?). I guess times are changing now as China plays a bigger role internationally and is recognised as an emerging super power.
I get the "where are you from?" alot. It can get annoying because I was born and raised here. What do you say to that question? Do you tell them where your parents are from?
hmmmmm......the bad thing bout being asian.... well being asian for one point..............though being jap or chinese would be kewl..
1) "Wow that's a good picture!" "Yeah, her picture's are only good cause she's Asian, it comes naturally." 2) "No A's on report card? I kill you! Get out of house now!" 3) "So... since you're an Asian, how about you let me cheat off of you a little, huh?" 4) Kids that were in my Biology class fought with each other over grades. I somehow landed myself in a class where the majority of the kids were Asian, and when the teacher said, "I've never taught such a competitive class," someone said, "That's cause we gots AZN Pride yo."

1. being told to focus on skook and getting into univ n no bf till den 2. parents friend saying siet about u to them (ex. saw you with guy on street, drinking etc) 3. have to be smart in math just cuz u "chinese" 4. always being compared to other asians 5. wear a shirt that shows some clevage is automatically labelled as a whore lols 6. parents have such high expectations on every aspect of ur life >_< hmmm i tink i have too much complaints but hey i still love being an asian person no doubt about that =D
Everyone thinks we're super smart. When I'm talking to some of my white friends, I'll say, "Damn I got a shitty mark on my test(project or whatever) And they'll say, "Asian bad or White person bad?" And I'm just thinking wtf? It really pisses me off. Also when people think I'm from China, always asking, "So are you born in China?" Or when people randomly point at some asian girl or guy and say, "Is that person your Aunt/Uncle (or whoever)?" Yeah, it gets really annoying. Shit, I hate math as well. But I've had some students turn to me and say, "Hey, did I get this question right?" wtf? Ok, I'm done. lol. Wouldn't this topic be more appropriate for the Rant forum?
i'd have to say worst thing about being asian is having asian parents. lol. Asian parents are strict and give u little freedom. other than that...ASIANS ROCK!
thats a big one, always like "why cant you be like blah blah, or blah blahs son/daughter. They do this and do that"
