perhaps being a chef in your own restuarant can make very good money, besides you will be the boss.

I will if I know I had enough saving. Actually I think is be a cook can still earn 6 figure salary.Just see how you work it out

Would not give up the 6 figure job right away for sure, work there and see if I like it or work somewhere near my interest

lol well this one is a definite NO for me as I do not have a passion for cooking to start off with [IMG]

But in regards to your friend, I think he did the right thing. I think it takes a very courageous individual to be able to step up and do what seems significant to him in his life, rather than taking a job just for the money. There's a wise saying: make your hobby your source of income. Work only begins when you don't like what you're doing. I mean, you can become a multi-millionaire and still not be content. In the end, it's about finding what works for you and doing what makes you happy. [IMG]

I would get the six figure salary then later once I retire do whatever I want. You can retire early with that kind of salary.

  13. I would definitely give up a six figure job to cook and make 7 figgas... holla... -cool2

lol Ecko, to be a cook is not as fun and easy as some may assume
it´s a 24/7 job, when You are on Yur own, and as head You´ll be the one who´ll get all the blame if something goes wrong and Your name won´t be the same in no time. 7 figgs? You´ll have to give up ur life then and sign a deal with the devil

    ecko is my heroo..
i want to be chef too but afraid of failure...kill meee

  18. thas one of the toughest decisions in life.. walk the safe road thinking you'll live decently... or take the leap and work hard fulfilling your passion regardless of whether you fail or not... for those who make it they become something great, get recognition... for those who don't.. at least they tried their best..

If he loves cooking and wants to be a chef for the rest of his life, then he should go for it. If you hate your job and it makes you miserbale, then no amount of money is worth it.

six figure pay can make up for not liking a job
