I think japan has a trendier style and they're quite influential in the fashion biz.....They're always a step ahead in whats popular.
I think ppl like the tawian and japanese's style is because it is so color fun. Make everything seem "Happy" i guess.. All american ever wear is gray, white, blue and black..get a dull you know.. I think one of those most popular japanese fashion item is the Bape (bathing ape). I think it look awsome! For those of you who don't know what it is check it out here (http://www.redefinedapparel.com/baapebash.html). Over all i think it all about the color! It should that you have confidence also lol
its just people expressing themselves. The trends follow because those countries are economically tied in my opinion, where as America, is heavy on subtleties. Not everyone in asia has to have AE or hollister or some big brand name. Probably most jeans in taiwan are generic.
Because japanese has the latest technology, more hi-tech. Also the taiwanese are more cooler then us.
Maybe because they always look cute and pretty in what they are wearing so other people like to copy/ follow what they are wearing hoping that they will look as nice as them too?
I think ppl tend to copy fashion just 'cos they're bored of their own/try to create their own style in the process. Maybe they're just copycats for the sake of it. [shrugs] I'm pretty bored with the trends in the UK myself. The clothes look more or less the same and the fashion trend is kinda cyclical, like not so long ago, we went back to the '60s full on. http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/exhibitions/fruits.asp
i guess you could say that taiwanese fashion is a "safer" version of japanese fashion...you know .. minus the Fruits and Lolita styles. i love it regardless.. its so unique and ahead of american fashion... i always see trends (skinny jeans) that have been over there for years but are still new (2/3 years) to american mainstream fashion.
Here a site on japan style/trend site that's quite interesting to look at. Some are weird, but quite interesting. http://www.style-arena.jp/index.htm
